As a musician, I have come across many microphones over the years. This one is a very solid choice for personal or professional use.
**Excellent Quality for Live Performances!**
Worked great at our last karaoke party. Had no issues plugging it in and the sounds was as good as any other microphone. thanks!
When Radio Shack used to be around, you could get really inexpensive mics that were actually pretty decent. This is like that. I mean, at this price it should be terrible, and it just isn't. Did the sound quality match my $300 Shure mic? No, but it does sound good, nice and full, and I actually love that it has a mute switch. It can really come in handy sometimes.
The off-axis sound rejection is really good. It's very directional, which is good for anti-feedback in a live setting. The sweet spot is about 1" away from the grill.
It comes with a carrying pouch, mic clip, and cable.
Who would this mic be perfect for? Someone is running an open mic, and they don't want a bunch of people spitting into their personal mic or dropping it. Would be a perfect first mic for someone getting into singing. It would be good for the times when you wish you had an extra mic to hand someone to talk into, like at a wedding or something like that.
I thought the "radio shack" mic was gone the way of the dodo, but it's back and at a price you can't beat. You could buy three of these for under a Franklin!
The Carry-on microphone has a universal, average look.
